Pre-exam notes

Tomorrow will be the last day we face the mid-semester test.

I don't always worry about my results. I've do what I can and the rest, I don't care. I've write what they want and I've answered what they ask.

Strange, huh? I don't think so.

I never think examination is a scary thing. The exam did not come to you in a form of mythical creature from a cave or an electrical chair that will punish you. The exam never come to you in form of Joseph Goebbels's S.S. force or Benito Mussolini's fascist youth. The exam is only a piece of written paper, several hour time, a pen and God in your side, nothing less.

I can't fully understand those who feel scared or haunted during the exam. They said exam can make your brain explode and push you to your maximal thinking limit. I offered my sympathy for those who think like that.

Since I'm still a little child, I was teached that exam is a celebration of knowledge. Examinations offered you a kind of celebrative feel: where you can write all what you know in a blank paper for two hours. That's like when you go abroad to gain knowledge and returned home to discuss it with people who are also going abroad to deepen their knowledge. Exam is a feast. In a suitable place, you can feel the exam in the air.

When I was abroad several years ago and studied there, I can't feel the exam in the air. Exams there were very strict and full of discipline. Final year students there must attend preparation class for their final exam everyday, even in the night! Imagine!

Luckily I managed to escape from having my elementary school final exam there. I finished my elementary school here, and enter my junior high school here.

With their so-called idealism and egalitarianism, my teacher has been successfully indoctrinizing bravery to their students heart. Do not underestimate the exam, but at the same time, don't worry to much. Celebrate the exam like when you meet an old friend who has gone for six month. Fear not, they said. Focus to your goal and conquer the exam. After that, celebrate it.

I will face my national exam next year. Unlucky, the exam will be in form of multiple choice, none of them will ask my opinion like essay model questions usually do. No worry, I will conquer it with my style, just like what Sami Yusuf said:

I did not need anyone to show me my way
I did not need, anyone, but you...
